Fwd: FREE Laptops!… The Ericsson Company is distributing free computer Lap-tops in an attempt to match Nokia that has already done so. Ericsson hopes to increase its popularity this way. For this reason, they are giving away the new WAP laptops. All you need to do to qualify is to send this mail to 8 people you know. Within 2 weeks, you will receive Ericsson T18. This is a big scam!
After doing some reasearch in this email i found out that this is indeed a hoax.

There is tons of sites and proof that this is indeed a hoax.

My best guesses, this person that works for ericsson.com might be using the account as a email phishing. (possibly to sell email addresses to spammers)
add ericsson.com to your spam filter, I am sure that emails from that domain could spam.
While I still like it, I think there was an mistake close to the end of the fourth paragraph.
